The site publishes general motoring information. It has no public forms, comments or newsletter, and it does not carry advertising or affiliate links. These features are not routes through which the site asks visitors to submit personal information. If you email the operator, the information you choose to include in your message will be available to the operator so that they can deal with your enquiry.
Hosting and technical operation
The site runs on WordPress and is hosted by Contabo. The server keeps technical logs as part of operating the site. Those logs are separate from the analytics statistics described below. The precise fields recorded in the logs have not been specified, so this notice does not represent that logs exclude IP addresses or other identifying information.
Administrator sign-in uses authentication cookies. They support access to the administration area; they are not described here as cookies set for ordinary visitors. Visiting a public article is not the same as signing in to administer the site.
Analytics configuration
The stated installation plan is to connect a self-hosted Kantan Analytics setup. It is described as measuring visits, pages viewed, sources of visits, countries, devices, clicks, scrolling and conversions. This describes the planned configuration, not a claim that every measurement is already active or that every visitor generates every type of event.
The described configuration uses random identifiers in Local Storage, rather than analytics cookies, and does not store IP addresses in its analytics statistics. That statement concerns the statistics, not the server’s technical logs. Local Storage is still a technology that stores information on a visitor’s device; the absence of an analytics cookie does not, by itself, settle whether consent or another condition applies to its use.
External webhooks are switched off in the described analytics configuration. Analytics information would nevertheless be processed within the site’s hosting arrangement. This notice does not assume that no other technical disclosure occurs when the site is delivered to a visitor’s browser.
How long information is kept
For the described analytics setup, detailed records are kept for 90 days. Aggregates and summaries may be kept for longer. A fixed period for those aggregates and summaries has not been specified. The stated 90-day period should not be read as a retention period for server logs, administrator authentication data or emails sent to the operator.
Your choices and rights

Visitor statistics — Kantan Analytics
We use self-hosted Kantan Analytics to understand visits: pages, traffic sources, approximate country, device and browser, clicks, scrolling and paths through the site. The plugin uses browser Local Storage for random visitor and session identifiers, rather than analytics cookies. IP addresses are processed for country lookup and abuse prevention but are not stored in Kantan statistics. Detailed records are retained for 90 days; aggregates, summaries associated with random visitor identifiers and conversion records may be kept longer.
